This tribute show to The Band is organized and hosted by my longtime friend Jonathan "Doc" Simons, and it's a really, really great time. The music of The Band is so good—they're often used as a reference point for others (as in "sounds like The Band"), but it's rare that anybody comes close to the real thing. We'll do our best. Another wonderful musician I'm lucky to call friend, Brian Langlinais, will join me on this trip, and I'm also looking forward to playing with Well Worn Soles (my son Emerson and cohort Chelsea Dix-Kessler).
